mine are as follows
1) Hold w/ Dowel on back (3 points of contact) 2-3 weeks
2) Eccentric lowering w/ Dowel 2-3 weeks
3) Pushup w/ Dowel
We usually start with a basic pushup to see what they can do. If they struggle, we usually do a modified pushup from an elevated surface. We put a barbell on the squat rack 1-2 feet from the ground and have them go from there. As far as posture goes, we do tons of planks which helps them maintain their posture during the pushup.
